MIDSUMMER: CAST LIST

A Huge THANK YOU to all who auditioned. A lot goes into making these decisions from who is right for a specific role, to scheduling conflicts... as well as a lot of agonizing:)  I wish I could cast everyone, you were all magnificent. I was especially impressed by the way you were excited for each other's successes. If you didn't make it this time, your perfect role might be in the next show. We have acting classes and summer camps that can help you get ready for the next audition. Go to AuburnAct.org for more information.

All cast members must be present for the mandatory read-through rehearsal on Monday, December 16 from 4-6 pm at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center.

Parents: There will be an important parent meeting at 5:30 pm during the mandatory read-through while actors are being measured for costumes.

VERY IMPORTANT: Please email Katie Kirk at mamakatie.aact@gmail.com to let her know that you’ve seen this cast list.

MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM CALLBACK LIST

Thank you to all who auditioned! I was so impressed with your talent and courage. Please know this is our teen show, so I will not be calling back very many younger children even though you were wonderful.  Also, this is a show with VERY specific needs for each part. If you were not called back, please keep trying. Casting is not about who performed better or worse, it is about the part that is right for you.  If it wasn't right this time, it might be next time. We have acting classes coming up in January, which are a great way to hone those acting skills and to be in a small performance without nerve racking auditions.  :-)  Go to auburnact.org for upcoming events in Children's Theater.

Sincerely,
Kim Hirt
AACT Children's Theater Director

CALLBACKS

PLEASE be on time. Also, if you are new to theater, make sure you are prepared to do a lot of "hurry-up and wait!" We are as efficient as possible, but we want to make sure we see everything we need to from each actor and can't always predict how long it will take. Please be generous with each other and no matter what happens in the end, this can be a positive learning experience for everyone.  I’m very proud of the patience and professionalism I’ve seen so far, and I’m excited to see more in the days ahead!

VERY IMPORTANT: To ensure that we’ve reached every actor, please email the stage manager, Katie Kirk, at mamakatie.aact@gmail.com.  Just let her know that you’ve seen this list.  Thank you!

Call Back List for “A Successor to the Throne”
A note to the parents and children,
Thank you all so much for auditioning for “A Successor to the Throne”! I know it is a long and nerve wracking process. I am so proud of everyone who tried out! I was impressed with how talented everyone is.  Creating the call back list is so very difficult. Please know, I have lost sleep, and shed tears, knowing how disappointed some children will be this afternoon. There were 68 kids who tried out for 30 spots. I was truly so proud of every child who had the courage, and desire to try. If you didn’t make “call backs” please don’t be discouraged. Keep trying hard things,  keep singing, dancing, using your incredible imaginations!
I am doing the call backs a little differently than I had announced in emails I sent out, so please pay close attention! I would like the kids to come back in groups for 30 minutes at a time…
