AACT Young Performers Spring Show

We hope that you all realize just how amazing that you are. Never had we had such a talented group of young actors audition for a show. When we told you that you did a GREAT job as you left, WE MEANT IT! Please know, and believe us when we say that Richard choose who best fit the roles the way that he envisions this story. It was NOT based on who was most talented, as you all are exceptionally talented. Please stay involved in theater!!!

 Callbacks are Friday, December 16th from 4:00-7:00

You need to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time, and you must bring your filled out Conflict Sheet!

Everyone was wonderful and auditioned beautifully and I am grateful that you all came out; it made this a really tough choice. If you are not called back, it does not mean that you are not cast. Cast List

Thank you to all who auditioned. I am so proud of you!!! I have never been so impressed with the number and quality of the kids who auditioned!!  If you did not get cast, please remember what we talked about at the callbacks: YOU ARE AWESOME, you are talented, and unique. I hope to see you in the future!!! We will have classes starting after Labor Day that will provide additional theater experiences. Please consider signing up for those. I will send an email to everyone with the details later. Remember how much I respect and honor you all for your courage and creativity!!

The first rehearsals are Monday the 22nd, and Wednesday the 24th from 4:00-6:00. These are full cast rehearsals. There is a parent meeting on Wednesday from 5:15-6:00.

 I want to thank everyone who auditioned. We had more kids audition this year than ever before!! EVERYONE who auditioned did a fabulous job!! When casting a show, the most important thing that we look for is who fits best in the roles. Please do not be discouraged if you did not get called back. Please keep doing theater!! Even famous actors do not get called back for every role they audition for. AACT will have theater classes with fun performance opportunities available starting in September. I hope to see you all in the future!!

Please be aware that there is a AACT “Summer Shorts” performance opens Thursday evening. When you come to the callback audition, please go into Studio I to sign in and wait. The auditions will be in Studio II. These are the two classrooms in the short hallway by the bathrooms. We need make every effort to be quiet and respectful for the patrons coming to the show. It is GREAT that we have so many things happening at the same time!!! Thank you for being flexible with us!

When casting a show the director chooses the actors that best fit the role within the artistic vision that they have for the show. Even the most accomplished actors do not get cast in every show that they audition for. Please know how much we admire you all and truly care about you all!!! PLEASE  keep pursuing your acting passion, just because you didn't get in this show, does NOT mean that you'll never be in one! Josh Hutcherson tried out for The Amazing Spiderman and didn't get in, but he's famous for something even cooler, The Hunger Games! 

Important reminder. The first rehearsal is  THIS Monday the 11th from 4:00-6:00. There is also a mandatory parent meeting that day at 5:15.

Instructions For Callbacks:

Please Bring your signed copy of the "Responsibilities and Obligations" sheet with ALL of your conflicts listed. Theater is a team activity. It is very difficult to rehearse a scene if any of the actors are missing.


We will see actors for callbacks in groups.
Come dressed in neutral clothing that you can move in easily.
Actors will receive scenes from script, and music to perform.
We are looking for playfulness and high energy.
So arrive ready to have fun and play!!
